My Journey
My professional journey began in the military, where I served for the United States Marine Corps. My time with the Marines instilled a solid foundation for hard work, confidence, and a desire to lead high=performing teams. When my military commitment concluded, I spent the next decade working my way through school - focused on gaining both knowledge and experience.
During this time period I earned both a bachelor's degree from Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and a Master of Science degree, with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Simultaneously working for Ecolab, a global industrial chemicals company, I held roles across various functions including Service, Operations Management, and Government Sales.
Having achieved growth and success at Ecolab, including be awarded their highest honors - District Manager of the Year in 2006 and Executive of the Year in 2007, I moved on to pursue other opportunities and expand my areas expertise and experience.
In the years that have followed, I have had the opportunity to work with a number of great companies across various industries - from FinTech start-ups like Extra Card and TeamViewer Software to corporate giants like United Rentals, I've built and lead high-performance customer support services and operations teams. As business models changed and adapted to global economies and dynamic influences, my roles and responsibilities expanded over the years as my ability to navigate these changes became an invaluable commodity. Adding certificates in PMP, Transactional SQL, and classes from Yale's Executive Course increased my abilities and expanded my presence and ability in managing global operations teams.
Executive coaching enablement began in 202o with KnowBe4, a cybersecurity SaaS company, where I lead an international team of performance coaches, but also had the opportunity to directly provide executive coaching for all of the international sales and customer support leaders. This is where I honed my ability to listen and guide others to successful outcomes, and help them prepare for tough decisions. Coaching people has become my passion, and delivering a best-in-class customer experience is my main professional focus.
When I am not coaching in the board room, you may find me on the pitch as I coach my youngest son's youth soccer team. I am proud husband and father of three children, soccer coach, whiskey collector, and golfer. In my spare time, you can catch me reading up on business-related topics, or watching sci-fi films.
